This isnt just a sink.. its Williams butt jacuzzi. Hes been going to the bathroom all by himself so I didnt think twice about him closing the door while he was in their alone. after a good 5 minutes pasted I went to check on him. I opened the door to find him naked, on the counter with his butt in the sink and water pouring all over the floor..He looked comfortable all stretched out like he was laying in a Recliner. This sink bath might have been a thing to do when he was way younger.. but hes almost 7 and pushing 70 lbs...

We Did it! We had an EKG done! William didn't like the little sticky stickers they stuck to his chest and legs but he sat still and didnt yell too much. It took all of 5 minutes. The tech was very nice and helped me keep william calm by counting to ten very slowly. She even had a Ipod with her that she played music for William on. What can I say the boy loves classical music. Maybe piano lessions are in our furture. His reward for all this was a trip to Mcdonalds. Now lets hope the results are normal.

Dr. Sanders was Great

I was a little worried how the whole day was going to unfold. I tried to do some last minute planning so William wouldn't be upset and fussy. The very first thing I did was tell William he was going to the doctor. He didn't respond or protest but he also didn't give me much if a fight over getting dressed. We left out around 8am to be able to get to savannah by 9 am. I wanted plenty of time to spare. To my shock we ran into hardly no am commute traffic. So I decided we should make a our stop. I went to a convent store and we made a put stop. I was so glad William didn't ask for candy. He usually wants everything ge sees. Maybe it has Alot to do with me telling him were were just going to the bathroom. I don't gave a clue but he didn't fuss and that made it great. Not only did ge sunrise me their but... we passed by a McDonald's and William didn't throw a fit to get chicken nuggets. Maybe ge knew they were still serving breakfast. What ever the reason...I was proud. And last but not least.. William decided he should go potty #2 at the doctors office. He didn't have much of a choice about going. I didn't bring spare cloths of a new pull up. So he has no choice. Dr. Sanders gave me so much info. He has a child himself with Autism.he's written a book and is the director of the Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta. He's got a resume a mile long and ge knows his stuff.

Mom ~vs~ ABA Therapist

When one door closes in your face you look for a different route! William has a appointment w/ a child phycitrist (spelling) tomorrow. Hes from the Marcus Autism Center out of Atlanta. I have a feeling hes going to tell me We need Intense ABA therapy.Well it just so Happends I have already contacted the therapist they use. Which is why Im upset. When I talked to her before in March she told me her openings wouldnt be available until May. She was to contact me. yeah I'd say she is a little late.. Then when I tracked her down finially. She gave me the story how my childs insurance would only pay for (4) hrs of ABA. Well Fa De La lady.Who cares how much $ your going to not get. My child needs help! Where did the people go that went to school to learn how to help people ? It just seems no days people are chasing a LARGER paycheck. So much for wanting to help people susceed in life..Looks
like I might need to return to school to learn how to help my child. Damn money hungry heffer!

Thanks for Helping.

William now has house chores. He is responsible for putting the forks, spoons & butter knives in the drawer. I think he likes being in charge of something. Hes doing so well with it too. Just today he saw a spoon on the counter that I didn't put in the sink to wash. He put it in the drawer with all the clean spoons. I didn't fuss about it. He was trying to help. He's so funny when he does anything.. he will say"Great, All right, wonderful, you did it. LOL. In that order too. He likes to cheer himself on. LOL

Finally I can post. I reset the password. I'm so glad too see Williams teachers are following our journey.. he had made so much progress this year. He is a lot more verbal . He has this little demanding personality that has shown out this year. He Hugged a little girl last week. I knew William liked her. When we went to the winter games he got all excited when she stood in line beside him. Body language is more obvious then some people think. Ahhh what else ..ohh.. he rode a school bus for the first time, went on a field trip, knows his birthday & address.. umm I can't think of anymore but... wow! He's doing so well..

William's PlayDate

We were on our way to Mcdonalds yesterday and I took the short cut
past the Meldrim park. Where I sometimes take William to play. He hasn't
wanted to stop the last few times we went past. But today William started asking
to play. So I thought ..What could it hurt. We got out and he ran to the
gate and once inside he took off to the slide and down he went. There were
other kids their and I didn't notice them much until.... they started running
to the fence awaiting the arrival of a little girl who was comming down the
street with her older sister. I could see she was toe walking. I wasnt
positive but I felt ever more comfortable with william being able to play with a
person who was just like he was. When she arrived I noticed William and her
watching one another from a distance. It was like they knew each other....
and they DID. The little girl is in Williams class. I didn't reconize her
because she has a cute new hair cut now. Once she smiled I knew right away who
she was. After Their stand off they were running around and "PLAYING
TOGETHER"... Ive never seen William playing with other kids. Seeing it all with my
own eyes was very heart warming.. Ahhh.. the joys of have a Special Child..
Thank you GOD for Blessing me..~!</HTML>

1st Field trip!

I learned last week that williams class would be attending the Special
Olympic Winter Games at the high school. For a week I talked myself
into letting him go and in the same breath I talked myself out of it.
Finially when push came to shove...we did it.William rode the school
bus and I followed. I cried most of the way. I was soo proud for him. I
even managed to get left by the bus too. Hahahaha

1st Field Trip ever! Cont.

A short time later we arrived at the high school.William didnt notice
me when we first got to the school. Once he did he tried to pull the
same..bookbag.ready to go home mess. I told him no and we were going
with his class. we went inside the gym and sat for a solid Hour.
William did fine with the waiting. Other schools were filling into the
gym.So we people watched. The games began at 10. William did well with
the noise of the PA system. He sang the national Anthem.( shocked ) and
he did the pledge of alligance. We danced and did face painting.
William liked the Bounce House the most. He didnt want to play any of
the games. We managed to last 2hrs & 25 minutes. It was a great
learning experience for both of us.We saw old classmates and teachers.
It was a good Day.One other thing I want to say is that Williams
Teacher has won me over. Her previous students kids all came to her with
open arms today .The way she acted towards them is what did it. You can
read the love in her eyes how she feels towards them.!!

PLAY DAY 2011

William having Great Fun at the playground. All was well untill a crazy cat started running towards us. William freaked out and we left soon after that. Mainly due to last night. Our newly Aquired cat decided she would jump in his bed at 345am. He screamed at her and ran off yelling "No Thank You" but before the cat. We saw 2 trains, 3 fire trucks and a Police car.
