The snow Dash!
23rd and 24th asking for Christmas. When the big Day arrived he had a
ball. He approved of everything. He even helped us bring in his bounce
ring/ ball pit. Then all the christmas treasure went in his ring. He
helped us open our gifts to. Once he saw it wasnt for him he left .
LoL. . He had a very busy day. He was so tired. Then the snow fell
yesterday. We watched it fall. We did venture out in it for a Grand
total of 3 minutes. He wanted no part of that cold wet stuff on his
face. But it was a once in a life time event and I wanted to let
William experience it. Its all part of being a parent. Untill next time

Music to my EARS !
us with the lovely Veggie Tale Theme song and some of the Kooky songs they
sing. He also has a catchy tune for the "Cars" music. He knows every single
word of " life is a Highway" & "Our Town" . I think its so funny to hear him
singing. I encourage him to "sing it boy! " He's gotten so good at the words
he doesn't sing with the music or the Movie. He just belts them out any
where and every where his little hears desired. LOL..
Other then his new found talent he is doing okay in school. We haven't had
any new trips (knock on wood) to the Principals office. But with each day
with him you never know what you might get. His Speech teacher spoke to me
this morning and told me he was doing well for her and he hasn't attempting to
kick her from under the table. That's always a PLUS~! He seems to be doing
well with his class work. I post pictures every chance I get of his desk
work. He's doing well I think considering... But other then that all is well in
at the Davis Household. OH and Santa Claus is attempting to convince Daddy
William needs a Trampoline.. Not a big one just a for me only size. I'll let
you know how all that plays out. Merry Christmas Every one... The count Down
is on...~ A</HTML>

On No He Didn't~!
I sent a mini-candy bar to school in Williams lunch box. What was I
thinking? I hide it from him the right before in his lunch box. Then this morning I
packed his lunch without remembering..Duh~! So William had himself a
screaming fit right in the middle of the lunch room and got put in time out in the
Principal Office... Way To Go Me... ( Oh it gets Better)
While he was sitting in time out at a Desk that faces the wall..William
screams and then Yells out a Curse word..Great ..My Child the playground Bully
and Now the Foul Mouth kid.. It was not just any old 4 letter word but a
Foul 5 letter word..I was soo Embarrassed. I didn't find out about the word
until I went to school to pick up William. Apparently when you get older the
"Principals Office " is still just as scary.. After I was told that I didn't
know what to say.. I went home talked about it with the family and then our
Private Speech therapist. They only thing I can think he was trying to say
was "Pushing ". He was in a chair and desk that faces the wall and he was
pushing away from it...I don't know.... We don't talk that way at home and we
don't go around people that do speak that way. The worst We say are the
usual.. H*ll, D*mn, Sh*t. Last year he would get mad and say "What they H*ll". I
don't know..... (SIGH) </HTML>

W's, a's and a m.
to write it own his own. I gave him a pencil and a piece
of paper Sunday afternoon. I asked him to write his name
and he did. He got stuck on the I's and the L's but I could
clearly read the W, a and the m. He is learning the difference
between the Upper case an lower case Alphabet. We can't
spell things out loud anymore when he is around..WHY?.Because
he knows what we are talking about.. Yeah.. The boys knows
how to Spell Mcdonalds, Candy & Ice cream. The 3 things
we try to keep quiet about because he gets mad when he doesn't get
those things when he thinks he should be allowed to. He still wants
to operate on his own schedule. Which has been changing.
Thats been a hard pill to swallow but we are doing it.
Its been a rough road but.. Somebodys gotta travel it.
LOL. Thanks for reading ~ xoxoxo~ The Davis Gang

A Sad Face?
I was a little bite taken back. Has kindergarten turned him into the
terror of the playground? The bully? The mean kid who beats little
kids up when they try to swing or go down a slide. I can't imagine
my child being that way. He doesn't talk to anyone who is not in
his inner circle. He doesn't interact with the other children. He acts
as if they do not exist. So pushing on the playground... Are you
serious? So I have to take a step back and look at this from
another angle..
Maybe William isn't getting enough Sensory input from (OT)..Wait
has that even started yet at school? Humm.. Better ask.
(note to self). So that might be why he is pushing. He's
looking for that input threw his hands.Maybe this is a
Game he has made up and no one knows the rules except for him.
Their are so many things I can think of. But here I sit wondering.
I almost want to cry because It makes me feel like no one wants to try to
figure out why his reactions are like they are except for me.
But while he's at school I can't see what goes on. Communication is
my life line and I feel like I'm being left out the Loop. I
guess I'm a little spoiled from his previous teachers. I was always told
when things happened at home and I even had them suggest things to
try at home. . . . Humm....What to do.. </HTML>

15 days of Smiles
The Assistant Principal called this period of time the "Honey Moon Stage."
LOL. William has rushed me out the door every morning. He is ready to get to
school. Last year was a total different story. As you all remember he would
fight me getting dressed and then getting out the car to go into the school.
This year is a Nice Change. He has a routine he is getting used to and a
group of ladies that he seems to like so far. They have PE, Music, Art and now
starting this week Speech. William likes to play "Follow the leader " I
guess that is something they do in PE. I don't know But he likes to follow me
around the house and say "Follow the leader." So ... we play it. This year
William is also wearing Uniforms. I was worried he wouldn't like the Polo
shirts but...He seems to tolerate them. I feel it's the sameness he likes.
Dressing the same as the other kids. The kids also get to go to the library once a
week. This was a new thing for me. So the first week I noticed he had a
book in his bag I thought for sure he stole it. I asked Mrs.K but Thank God it
was just borrowed from the library. So this week when the new checked out
book arrived we read it. William like pointing out the different animals and
telling me the colors they are. BOY for a child that started out 2 yrs ago
with so few words..He has turned up the settings. This week was picture week.
He did well. He didn't smile but he sat still and waited. It more then
likely looks like a mug shot and if he had really stoled that library book the
only thing that would have been missing from his picture would have been the
numbers at the bottom of that picture. PHEW~! </HTML>

Where has the Summer gone?
side William will be at a New school this year. We met his teacher and one
of the aids that will be in his class this year yesterday.. I was worried
how William would act so I bugged his poor Teacher & Principal to death this
summer so we could visit prior to the first day of school and before Open
house. To my SHOCK~! William did well and understood the fact he would be
going to a New school and have a New teacher. He even gave his teachers a hug
before we left. I think all those pictures and social stories we read this
summer have helped.. YAY ME~! ....
William has also lost a 3rd tooth and is working on number 4. William also
let me trim his hear with a pair of scissors.. He's growing up and I'm a
little sad my baby isn't a baby anymore...But he is doing soo well.. That's all
I can really ask for.. Wahoo~!</HTML>

William took His kindergarden readiness test yesterday. His New Teacher was present..(( HIGH FIVE ))..SO she got to see what she is gonna be working with. He knows his letters, colors, numbers .The left and Right are confusing and he can point out some shapes. I'm sure since I've heard such Great things about Mrs.T.... I have Complete confidence in her and her ability to teach my child. That is what they went to school for. It takes Dedication and hard work but the end result is so Rewarding..
